I didn't get cable for the first time until I went to college. Many of the houses we were looking at in my area don't even have cable tv/internet as an option. It's kind of bizarre because it is so taken for granted everywhere these days.

When I say first I mean when cable first came out at all, and it was a box that you turned the dial that sat on the TV. It was in 74 I think.

-how the eff does the human body work? I mean, I get the scientific aspect of it. But when you really think about how we move, and see, and breathe, and just exist, it kind of freaks me out.

-who pays the electric bill for streetlights? Like, who actually writes the check?

Yes! I was watching a show where they were trying to get robots to walk in a human manner and couldn't get it to work. They said "Try to imagine walking, but imagine moving every single muscle, tendon, bone, etc consciously. Now try to balance while doing it". Everyone fell down.

Ha, that would be fun to see. Or try. And yeah, that's what I mean. The way our brain tells us to move, the way the body supports itself, how we comprehend what we see. Oh, and how we can see and hear things in our head. That really makes me think. I could go on all night about how the body amazes me.
