[QUOTE]I am learning to cook.  I love this recipe: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-and-red-wine-sauce/">http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-and-red-wine-sauce/</a> Two nights ago I attempted a teriyaki chicken recipe: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-teriyaki-chicken/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=teriyaki%20chicken&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe">http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-teriyaki-chicken/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=teriyaki%20chicken&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe</a> But I messed it up somehow. So now I'm trying to decide on another recipe to try.

<div>These recipes look delicious! Right now I'm trying to get back into the low carb diet since I put on 10lbs since our wedding, so I will have try these as a special treat in a month or so. </div><div>
    </div><div>How about this recipe?</div><div><a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/quick-recipes/2009/05/moroccan_chicken_with_green_olives_and_lemon">http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/quick-recipes/2009/05/moroccan_chicken_with_green_olives_and_lemon</a></div><div>
</div><div>I've made it a few times and I really like it. I'm a big fan of Moroccan flavors and I love cumin. </div><div>
</div><div>ETA: I use regular boneless skinless breasts, not bone-in chicken because H doesn't like bones. I also use regular lemons instead of meyer lemons. Turns out fine. Posting this has now made want to make this tonight. </div><div>

[QUOTE]That looks really good.  Hm.  I do love me some green olives.

    GOSH that does look good.

GUYZ I've had a crazy morning. I had to go to a 7am breakfast meeting for a professional committee that I'm on, but before that I tried to make brownies from scratch for our office potluck today. They were severely undercooked but I just had to leave them and THEN go back to recook them before finally getting to work. It wasn't a big deal that I was late, I just feel like I've driven all over Dallas today.
Bonus: I have killer brownies today, and the spread in the kitchen looks amazing.
  • Welcome B2Z! I never learned to cook in my 35 years but now that I am not working and living with FI I am trying to learn. He learned to cook when he was exiled because of Katrina and staying with his sister and BIL who is a chef.

We can share because H hates batter (I mean, am I the luckiest girl in the world or what????)
  • Eddie, I don't really know what you mean by, "does it taste like regular chicken?"

I think it tastes good, so does H. We're not picky eaters at all and like to try different flavors and different types of food. So to us, it tastes like tasty chicken :)

Um, and who doesn't like brownie or cookie batter? You'll know ahead of time that whatever you're baking is gonna taste delicious by the batter!

Batter that makes it into the oven is wasted in my opinion.
