So I haven't ever posted before, but with things getting closer now, I decided that I need to start sharing all this news with *someone*
I went to Three Brothers Bakery yesterday and got my cake designed - they are AMAZING! I initially told a lady kind of what I wanted then the owner sat down with us and sketched out my cake. They are going to do 7 layers of different sizes - some square, some round. The layers are going to mimic the feel of my dress so they are going to incorporate the lace and rouching. They even said that if I got them a high res picture or swatch of my lace, they will hand pipe the cake to look like the lace!!!
I am SO excited!!! There will also be some flowers on the cake in the middle section sort of cascading down. The whole thing is going to be buttercream iced but the bottom two tiers are going to have fondant coming down from the corners to mimic the dress train. They gave me a copy of the sketch - I need to scan it so I can upload it to here. YAY!! One less thing to worry about
