Picnic themed hor dourves

Our wedding theme is vintage picnic and I am looking for some ideas for heavy hor dourves. We decided to forgo the sit down dinner and have a coctail reception. We are going to have a mashed potato bar for sure (I know its not picnicy but I absolutely love mashed potatoes and refuse to drop the idea). 
Hubby to be is a chef and is in charge of the food (except the cake which I will be making). I know he will come up with some amazing ideas but I would like to have some as well for when he asks, and the only thing I can think of is small sandwiches, so I was looking for some other ideas that somewhat follow our theme.

to note our reception is indoors so worrying about refridgeration or keeping food hot is not going to be an issue

    We always have deviled eggs at our family picnics - they go pretty fast.

    Fried chicken drumsticks
    celery with pimento cheese or peanut butter
    mini BBQ sandwiches
    small cups of marinated 3 bean or corn salad
    cocktail dogs either wrapped or in sauce
    mini burgers

    This reminded me--skewers of fresh mozarella, tomato, and basil (caprese skewers).

    you could use the small party drumstick wings for fried chicken. I love all the ideas listed below sounds so tasty!
