Catering Help!

I haven't really started my planning but I am trying to figure an estimate. I need to know how much catering runs. I found a place where it is $45.85/person and I don't know if that is good or bad. We will have around 80-100 guests. I would love to have a formal dinner but I know that a buffett will be cheaper. Do the caterers bring the dishware, or do you? Is it a bad idea if I decide to do it on my own, with the help of family of course? I don't know what to do. What did you do, or what are you planning?

Re: Catering Help!

  • You need to talk with the caterer and get a breakdown of what exactly that includes. Here in NC, that is one heck of a meal. :) Some caterers will even provide the tables, chairs, linens if you need them to.
