Pictures at the Dallas Arboretum

Has anyone taken engagement or bridal pictures at the Dallas Arboretum? I am looking for places to take my pictures around Dallas or Ft. Worth and heard about this place. What are your thoughts and suggestions?

My FI and I went there just for a date once and loved it!  He loves photography and took some pics of me just for fun.  There are a lot of great shots there.  They have some great archways and fountains as well.  There are always people there taking e-pics and bridal pics.  There's a lot of green!  I remember this really neat wooden bridge for pictures.I recommend the Dallas Arboretum over the Ft Worth botanical gardens.  We went to the botanical gardens and were not impressed.

I've seen pictures from other photo sessions there and the pics are absolutely beautiful. We plan to take pics there for a newlywed session!

They're a great place for pictures! I'm not 100% sure, but there might be a charge to have your photographs professionally taken there.

I had some of my bridal portraits taken at the Dallas Arboretum.  My photographers paid for my admittance.  I don't believe they charge for photography...If they did that, they'd have to charge every single mom and dad who went in there to take pictures of their kids playing with the pumpkins or around the little indian village.  I think the arboretum is a great place to take your portraits because there are just so many options and places to go to take your pictures!

Just be aware that the shoot might take longer than a regular one since it is a public place and people can be really rude.I took my bridals at Arlington Hall/Lee Park in Dallas. They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself :p And it was free to use the outside grounds.

I took my bridals at the Aboretum a couple of weeks ago. It was great! We got tons of great shots! You just have to pay admission and parking, there is no fee for photographers. You can't change there unless you rent out a building, so you have to show up in your dress. I was at first worried about crowds, I did it on a Sunday. But trust me once they saw me in my dress, the people were polite and moved! Good luck and enjoy!

My FI proposed there and surprised me with a photographer. We took our engagment photos around that park. They don't charge to take pictures there, just admission. The park is soooo amazing and the perfect place for photos, I will be taking all my family photos ther ein the future as well. If you want to take a look at some of my photos let me know and I'll email them to you!

oh yeah... and we changed clothes there in the restroom and no one said anything (although they say you are not allowed to).  we went right in the morning when they first open.
