Dorothy Ann Bakery in Woodbury- DO NOT USE

As a heads up to all of you out there, just wanted to let you know that if you have a desire to have a beautiful cake (and in our case, cheesecake and pie), but you want HORRID service, this is the place to go.

Insults, rude service and having the owner call you and demand more payment (after we had been informed that we were paid in full) 2 DAYS before the wedding are all what is in store for you if you use them.   When STEVE called to tell me that there was some mistake..."I believe that she didn't charge you for..." not certain mind you...and then he demanded that he be paid for all services rendered.  He wasn't positive of what the mistake was...but still wanted us to shell out an extra $200-$250 over the phone.  FABULOUS...let me tell you!

OH!  And day of our wedding, when delivering the baked goods, the owner was SO RUDE to the hotel staff that the event coordinator even mentioned something to us and our parents.  UNREAL

So, if you want something that tastes great but not worth the headache and stress...go with Dorothy Ann!

You can try posting this to the MN local boards as others have also suggested

I'm from WBY and have met the owners of Dorothy Ann several times since it's the only bakery in town here and I used to work out at the gym that was across from there...  Sounds completely out of character to me...  The times that I've dealt with them they've got confidence in their work and pricing (we priced them for our wedding), but never have I heard of them flubbing up on a price and such.  Maybe go in and talk things over with them, not that you're asking for money back or any sort of product, just to make sure things are cleared up on both your ends with receipts (or even CC statements) in hand...  Also, the payment schedule is a lot earlier why the heck were they calling you two days out is what my question would be...

    Good luck!
