How much food?

We are trying to decide what to serve at our reception. (We have gone back and forth..) And how to budget.

Does anyone know of a good website to figure out how much food to cook for X number of people?

One idea...I am thinking we will do strips of chicken, marinated in italian dressing, then BBQed. Then we will have things like mashed potatoes, baked beans, etc. And some salads. I am trying to get an idea on cost. How many would one pound of chicken feed? I am guessing 1 lb. would feed 2-3? Then we would do some extra? This will be homecooked, so we don't have a caterer, buffet style. They would be made of boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

When I was looking at bbq for catering, they said 1 pound should feed 3 adults. They also said one pint of sides feeds 2-3 people, while one quart feeds 5-6. Hope this helps!
