Yes, he did our lighting and our gobo. He did a fantastic job. We didn't do pin lighting or anything, but around the dance floor and in the corners of the room. I had a FANTASTIC experience with him. Your friend can email me if she wantsemily dot kaz 319 at gmail dot com

My kids threw me a birthday party today.  With lots of cookies and cakes, etc.  I really need some protein.  Will Chicken Express count?  :-)While I know the money could have helped our wedding, I wouldn't have done Bridezillas either for much under $500,000.  Someday those women might have to explain that to their kids.

I hate the word "adore".  Especially when you're describing something that isn't really "adorable".  Like, "I adore diet coke".  Seriously?  You "adore" it?

Julie, that's really sweet of your kids!  :)

I love all of the bridezilla comments, the wedding looked nice bright pink just isn't my thing, but I like how on all the episodes the girls want "classy, elegant" and comment on how things are cheap and trashy, I feel like I can put on a more elegant wedding for under 10K than they do for 60K especially that Staten island girl! I am all about avoiding Thanksgiving, we are going to the Cowboys game!! Not flame worthy but my Birthday is sunday and FI sent stargazer lilies today to work and we have reservations at YO ranch steakhouse for Sat. night and my bridal pictures are tomorrow!!!

I want to watch the bridezillas episode because she has the same venue and I want to see if there was any drama there. But I know that most reality shows are fake anyways so I can't (try not to) judge people on them. There was one bridezilla episode that was in houston and I was watching with my FI and mom and that was hilarious. I think her family was acting crazy and my FI said if anybody acted like that at our wedding, he would throw them out.

Yeah, when I watch that show I always wonder if things are really as bad as they are portrayed.  Film editors can change everything and reality shows are always edited extensively to create the most drama and craziness (i.e., bigger ratings).  I've known a couple reality show contestants who've talked about how the show made things look really different from the way they were.

Ppqth, I totally agree!  I already feel like I'm pulling off a nicer wedding than half the girls their with a smaller budget than most of them.Congrats on your party, Julie!  That's really cool.  Chicken Express is absolutely a good source of protein :)I'd probably skip the sweet tea after all the other stuff, though.  I have a huge sweet tooth, but I can only handle so much at one time.  But then, how can you go to Chicken Express and not get a sweet tea (for those of you who like sweet tea, that is)?

That was really sweet.  Thankfully, it was just one group though.  A couple of years ago, I got six cakes (not lying) on my birthday and I wanted to die from the sugar.  We're going to Maggiano's tonight so I'll get some protein then.

I spent $7 extra dollars (over the Best Buy price) at Target to get the UP blue ray with travel journal, stickers and postcards. My husband thought it was a waste, but I don't miss that $7 at all. I'm totally going to use the travel journal and I'm going to send the postcards to my neice. She's 4 and would probably be thrilled to receive mail. Don't rob me of my simple pleasures! hehe.

After Cheryl said that Nekorayne posts on the bump now,Whoa! Missed that! I met her once, though--she was so sweet! She really did have the best wedding attitude ever. As for the bridezilla issue, personally, I would never want to be on that show, but she was definitely not a psychobitch, at least from getting to know her at the G2G. It will change my perspective about other women on the show, though. They can do so much with editing it's ridiculous.

I never said she was a "psychob****".  Just the show would make her or any bride look like one.

#1. I would totally go on Bridezillas if it paid well enough.  Everyone I care about knows who I really am #2. I think Ivy's wedding was gorgeous.  It was her day and she did it how she wanted to do it.  She might think that some of the things we do are ridiculous.  To each their own.#3.  My FI is in love with the UP movie.  I've seen it twice since it came out this week.  It is cute but seriously?

We saw "Up" two weeks after we got married (or so) and I cried for the first fifteen minutes and for the last fifteen minutes.  I love "Up" and my fifteen year old male students love it too.  They're having a watching party this weekend for it.
