Appetizer for 4th of July

Need a quick appetizer a 4th of July party. Need to make my family happy and keep outside for a while...not fruit salad. Help?

    Hmmm....if it's going to be kept outside for a while on the 4th of July, you might be better off with something that needs to be kept hot (i.e., in a chaffing dish with a sterno light underneath or in a crock pot) than something that needs to be chilled from a food safety standpoint.  Maybe you could do BBQ sauce with little cocktail smokies or chicken fingers?

    7 layer "Mexican" dip and chips
    antipasto skewers
    brie in puff pastry
    finger sandwiches
    tortilla chips and fresh salsa
    bacon-wrapped water chestnuts
    stuffed mushrooms
    goat cheese truffles with crostini or crackers
    buffalo chicken dip (in crockpot)
