MY MENU!

Hi Knotties, 

We're doing a traditional New Orleans style reception (which just basically means there will be tray passes and various tables of food set out the entire time and there is no assigned seating; people just eat when they feel like it and sit wherever they like).  We like that style because it eliminates the boredom that some people experience during sit down dinners and eliminates buffet lines to a large extent.

I just want to make sure that there is enough hearty and filling food because the reception starts at 7. 

I am sitting down to plan the menu.  Here is what I have come up with. Does it look like it will be enough in terms of satisfying everyone and variety? 

Assorted international and domestic cheese table
Fresh seasonal fruit table w/ chocolate dip
Grilled vegetable crudites table w/ herb dip
Savory shrimp cheesecake 
Spinach and artichoke dip

Seared scallop station w/ buerre blanc sauce and braised spinach
Crab cake station w/ marinated cabbage
Beef tenderloin carving station
BBQ shrimp 
Chicken alfredo-style pasta
Chicken and sausage gumbo
