Recipe for a FIRM wedding cupcake

I tried a really delicious Pink Lemonade wedding cake and I fell in love with it.  We want to do cupcakes with this recipe but I don't want the really moist "Box" type cake mix.  Anyone have a recipe for a firm pink Lemonade Cake?

I don't have a recipe but maybe you can play with the one you already have. Adding a pack of instant pudding will firm the cake, as well as omitting oil and replacing it with something like sour cream.

Please don't try to firm up a box cake recipe.  here are a couple that I found when I googled "Pink Lemonade Cake."  Try them out and see if you like them:

I don't think she was planning on using a box cake, she doesn't want it to be soft like that.

To me, when I hear a "firm" cake, I think "dry".   If by firm you mean the top will not come off when you are adding the icing, there is an easy solution to that.  Just pipe it on, but uh, don't use SD3194's bag LOL.

There are lots of great recipe websites that have all kinds of cupcake from scratch recipes.  That may be your best bet.

I googled a recipe for pink lemonade cake and all but the two I posted tell you to start with a boxed white cake mix.
