colon hydroptherapy

OK, so my last dress fitting is Saturday and I am trying for the first time colon hydrotherapy on Thursday. Has anyone done this before? Do you know if you initally lose weight then gain it back in water a couple of days later. I don't want to fluctuate too bad.

  • Oh, wow. That's a new one. I'm clueless.

  • Irrigation of the colon..... it sounds uncomfortable GOOD LUCK
  • This sounds like a horrible idea (sorry, just being honest).  It's just water weight that you're going to lose and it'll come right back as soon as you eat and rehydrate normally.  I'd suggest eating really clean, drinking a lot of water, and limiting your salt and alcohol intake before the fitting and until the wedding.  That's the best way to lose weight and keep it off.  Obviously, exercise too will help.

  • Alright...confession. I've had it done for health reaons but not to lose weight. I was really sick and it helped me feel much better.

As far as losing weight...I don't really know.
  • Actually, it wont really be water weight you'll be losing, but poop weight.

You will absoultely gain back any weight that's lost.  100%

Save yourself the discomfort and get some Spanx.

  • Ditto what everyone else has said. I personally have never had that done (does not sound pleasant!). I would up your water intake to flush out fluid retention, cut back on sodium and processed foods and get some spanx - they are life savers! :)
  • Don't do it! This sounds more than unpleasant and possibly dangerous. Totally not worth it. If you want to get rid of any bloat/water weight drink 80-100 oz of water a day, limit your sodium to 1500 mg a day, and use natural diuretics like lemon, asparagus, and watermelon.
