Getting in Shape

Monday Accountability

This week is a super short week for me (just 3 days!) so I'm going to try to keep my food perfectly on track.  I've been doing fairly well, I just think it's time to "dial it in" a bit more.

B: Chocolate PB banana shake, coffee w/ skim milk, 2 small brownies (H wanted me to bake some!)
S: peach and almonds
L: Tuna Avocado salad (it's been a while, I felt like bringing this out again)
S: string cheese x2
D: grilled chicken and asparagus

E: rest day!

  • b- Cranberry/orange muffin i made and some coffee
    l- hummus with veggies, nuts, and yogurt 
    d- pasta with veggies and ground turkey
    s- raspberries and mint brownie (made with cooking light recipe) 

    e- 100 push up work out and 200 squat
  • B - Banana/berry/protein smoothie
    L - Leftover pot roast and veggies
    D - tbd
    S - String cheese

    E - 30DS (day 4) in am.  Spin class after work - 2 hours

  • B -  bagel (small whole wheat, about 120 calories) with cream cheese and banana

    S – Polly-O

    L – Sandwich thin, shaved chicken, reduced sodium cheese, cucumbers, and Greek yogurt.

    S – Almonds

    D – Chicken breast and grilled asparagus, and ½ cup of couscous.

     

    E – Zumba?

  • Whoa is it humid out here in CT! My hair gets bigger and bigger by the second! LOL!

    B - 2 slices WW toast with natural PB & strawberries
    S - Banana & yogurt (if I need both)
    L - hummus w/ veggies, hard boiled egg
    S - Apple & protein shake (if I need both)
    D - grilled chicken & cole slaw

    E - 50 min walk this morning - I was sweating the second I walked out of my AC! Tonight - maybe ride my horse if the weather breaks,

  • SarahRuthG, I hear you on the humidity. Waking up at 4:45 and it was already 82 with 95% humidity. I thought I lived in Jersey, not the Dominican Republic...

    B - plain greek yogurt w/ fresh raspberries, sugar free raspberry preserves and 1/2 c. multigrain cheerios
    MS - 2 clementines
    L - shaved chicken breast on lavash wrap w/ laughing cow, cucumber, tomato, lettuce and avocado
    AS - string cheese and cocoa roasted almonds
    D - ribs with brown rice, corn on the cob, and WW broccoli cheddar side
    NS - probably some sort of skinny cow dessert, way too f-ing hot out for anything else

    E - 35 minute walk on treadmill with arm weights; 45-60 min elliptical at gym plus ab workout

    I think I might  be able to convince my H to put the A/C unit in our bedroom window today.  Even with a huge arse storm last night it was still just sticky.   Ew.

    S: Chobani Greek Yogurt with Peaches

    L:  TBD but possibly a salad with low fat dressing

    D:  TBD but most likely will pick up a rotisiere from shop rite and grill up some zuccinis

  • i'm back from vacation!  actually, i got back on wednesday, but have been super lazy since then and haven't tracked calories or worked out all week.  somehow i managed to more or less maintain my weight (woo hoo!) and i'm back on track today.

    b - kashi cereal, skim
    l - leftover grilled pork chop, raw veggies
    s - apple, string cheese
    d - tbd, filippino food at MIL's. yum.
    s - tbd

    e - NMTZ, maybe a walk tonight if it cools off enough
  • Late to this, but:

    B - low-fat cottage cheese, almonds, coffee with ff creamer and protein powder (got a new protein powder, not sure I like it as much)
    S - wheat crackers and almond butter
    L - baked sweet potato with black beans and salsa
    S - protein bar
    D - rosemary and garlic sauteed mushrooms and broccoli over brown rice

    Kinda protein heavy today - I'm taking some cues from my supposed "diet-plan" on sparkpeople. We'll see how it goes. I had some hunger issues last week when trying to eat on the low end of my calories, so I hope the protein helps.

    E - training session - I twisted my ankle on saturday, so it will probably be a lot of upper body.

  • B: Slice of ham and some shredded cheese on an everything bagel thin
    S: cut up pineapple and some white cheddar air-popped popcorn
    L: Tuna salad on an everything bagel thin, and a peach (can you tell I'm out of bread? LOL)
    S: an orange and a protein drink before my workout this afternoon
    D: 1/2 serving of steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad w/feta and light Italian dressing

    E: 30 weight training, 30 minutes HIIT on the treadmill

  • H everyone, I'm switching from WW to Livestrong My Plate and it's my first week of calorie counting.

    S: strawberry protein shake

    Exercise: 20 min turbo Jam and I just started my first day of NRWLFW, that was intense!
