Getting in Shape

5K training advice

I am going to be running a 5K at the end of August.  I was looking into some type of training program to help give me some structure to my training.  I was thinking of starting C25K at the 4th week and turning it into a 6 week program.  Do you think this would be appropriate or should I look for a different program?  Are there any other good programs anyone suggests?

Some background to help out.  I have been working out 5-6 days a week for the past three months.  I have not been doing much running though.  This week I added in some running since I signed up for the 5K.  Typical run this weeks was jog one mile, walk 1/4 mile, jog 1/2 mile, walk 1/4 mile.  I never felt like I was really pushing myself doing this either.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.  Thank you all in advance!
