NROL4W vs. Female Body Breakthrough

Hello,

I've noticed a lot of people mentioning NROL4W on this board.  Not sure how exactly, but research that book or one of the many blogs that mention it led me to Rachel Cosgrove's "Female Body Breakthrough."  The program in that book is 4 months long.

I'm in Dubai and have only been able to find Female Body Breakthrough.  I was wondering if anybody has read both books and could tell me what the major differences are; which they prefer and why.

I can get NROL4W in late November (can't start either program until January at the earliest due to surgery) and check it out, but I know I'm going to have to pick one program and stick to it.  Not sure it's worth buying another one, but I wanted to get people's opinions before deciding one way or the other.

 TIA!

  • Thanks!  I know it was a bit obnoxious to post in both places, but it seems like there are different people on each board.

  • I didn't think it was obnoxious at all, no worries!

  • Hey there,

I have done NROL 4 W. I have the book.I don't know the other one. You probably got your answer already from the mod but here is my opinion on the NROL.

I love weightlifting so I like this book. I don't know know if you are new to lifting or not but I found that some of the workouts would be too hard to do if you are not familiar with some basic weightlifting movements. This was not the case for me but I still found it challenging depending which week I was doing.

I was already lifting when I started it so I put on a little bit more muscle. I can't remember if I was eating more at the time but I don't believe this program is meant to be use if you are dieting. Overall it's a great program and I continue to use some of the movements on my 2x a week weightlifting workouts. I'm content with the muscle I have now so i toned down the lifting a bit. I lift 2 x a week and do cardio 3 x  a week if I can then watch food intake especially with my wedding coming up.

Actually go to Oxygen.com message board. A lot of women there have used it and you can probably get some feedback about the other book as well. Some of the people that post there are personal trainers so essentially you are getting a free advice. They helped a lot when I was in the process of losing weight. The ladies there are quite honest so if you ask a question and it sounds 'stupid', don't worry about it, they are just being helpful.
