Weight loss question - 10 lbs in 5 weeks?

Do you guys think this is an achievable goal? I am 5'2' and 121 lbs...

  • It depends on your build and muscle mass. I'm 5'2" and have a really athletic build so 115 is about as low as I can get according to my doctor. 111 is on the pretty low end of the healthy range so 2 pounds a week may be a little ambitious since the last pounds come off slower.
  • Thank you all for the helpful replies Getting below 115 has been a huge struggle for me in the past so I do think that it would be tough to get to my target weight :( I have been doing the 30 day shred but haven't been really strict with my diet. Hopefully, I can get focused now and "just do it"!
  • If you have a really hard time getting below a certain weight, it could be that that's just the weight your body "wants" to be. It's well within a healthy range for your height, and even though it might not be ideal for you, it's likely that 115 might just end up being your sticking point. Everyone hits that at some point, following a healthy diet.The other posters are right, though - even if dropping those last few pounds is difficult, toning up makes  world of difference. Even if you don't lose any pounds, toning can change your shape really quickly.
    On bed rest since Groundhog's Day and every day since has been exactly the same.
