Runners - Question For You

I'd like to get some nice running sneakers (mine are not "good" running sneakers and I've been running more now). What sneakers do you wear? Apx how much were they?

Re: Runners - Question For You

  • New Balance, normal model, nothing fancy.
  • It really depends on what kind of shoe you need! I usuallygo into a specialty running store and have them pick a shoeout for me. I have the Saucony Hucicane: described as a Stability shoe. The Progrid™ Hurricane 10 provides industry leadingpronation control, high end responsive cushioning and supreme midfoot fit through Saucony arch-lock system.I love the arch-lock system, because it feels reallycomfortable and light weight! They can range from $80-$120 depending where you get them and if they arelast year or this year's model.
  • Mizuno Wave Runner - I was fit for them at a running store and buy a new pair every 4-6 months depending on what I am training for. They are usually $90, but I have found them for less at race exhibitions.
  • I second go to a running store. If there is a Road Runners near you they are fabulous. Every shoe is different and are made for different feet. So go to a running store that can get what is right for you.
  • Definitely go to a running store. My Brooks Adrenalines are great for me, but they might not be so great for you!
  • I agree with previosu posters... you need to go to a running store and get your feet analyzed by them.  They do it all the time and can tell you what kind of shoe you need.  Find one where they tape you walking/running on a treadmill to see how you pronate (roll your foot in or out).  For what it's worth, I wear Asics and I love them, but what works for me might not work for you.
