FAQ's and Competition

I spoke to Annie and I asked her about the FAQ's section. She said that this board is mainly for newbies. She said she has done FAQ's multiple times with this board and it simply does not work. The newbie's simply do not read them first. So, when we get a question that has been asked multiple times, we can just tell them to go back, read previous posts, and if they still have a question, they can ask it. As for the weekly competition, did anyone weigh themselves this morning, or do you want to start this next Monday with a weigh in, and the following Monday for results?

That's true. If anyone wants to make a FAQ's bio, go for it. I have tried to make me a bio many many times now and I have failed miserably. Let me know who wants to do it. That's a great idea!

I weighed myself this morning. I thought when I go to other boards there is always a Newbies read this first post and another post before all the other posts. I could be wrong. I think a bio would great but I have no clue how to do it.

No offense to Knottie Annie, but that sounds like some bs.  I think it would be perfect on a board like this to post an FAQ, or as the case may be now, a bio.  There's so many similar questions that could get answered in one place.  Especially if it's a just getting started type of post. I did weigh in this morning and would like to do competition if anyone else will play...

Hi Codi! Thanks for posting this. I looked for the FAQ's to try to figure out how to set my goal that comes up under your name when you post and how to get the red stars. I thought I read that each star is 5 lbs lost, is this correct? Can you fill me in on how to do these things? thanks!

alphabride - There should be a blue box or something simular to the right of this post, titled "the knot weight loss club". Each star represents a 2 lb loss. Sign up for the club, enter in your information, and you will see this next to your name from now on. Update your stars when you start losing weight, and you will gain more stars. Let me know if this works. As for the FAQ, I will work on this. She said I can do it, but it probably won't help. I may screw it up, so I may have to delete postings, but just bare with me ladies.
