Getting in Shape

spinning

Our gym at work now offers spinning. I never did it before. I worked out everyday on the elliptical and the machines and for 2 months now i've been spinning at least 3 times a week. I have lost 10 lbs in 2 months. I've been working out for over a year and haven't seen those results. Spinning is so much fun. Yea it's 45 minutes of HARD HARD work and u sweat a ton but it's WAY more enjoyable than the elliptical or the treadmill and you burn double the calories. I really recommend it. Best part is, there's no strain on any part of your body. ANY burning that many calories as let me enjoy more foods. I really recommend it to anyone trying to lose weight..  it's fast and fun!

    I found, when I went to spinning classes at my old gym, that the time just FLEW by. 45 minutes spinning is not the same as just working out for 45 minutes.
  • Yes the time goes fast for sure! There's no clock on the bike like a treadmill or elliptical. Each class seems to go quicker and quicker...
  • I am so with you!  I have lost about 10 lbs in the past month, and do spinning 3x per week.  I actually use my instructor as my PT once or twice a month as well.  I do the 60 min class and it FLIES by.  I am actually trying to get some spinning shoes bc my instructor said it doubles the effect of the workout.
