Opinions on "colors" please! :)

I have been going back and forth for weeks on choosing colors.

I made this today, what do you think? Read the description at the bottom if you are interested:

COLORS: The lower left hand corner would be my color palette. Red. orange, and pink (pulled from the exact shade of the inspiration flowers)... accents with black with white polka dots and/or white swirls, and hints of green.

Flowers: I love the gerbera daisies, but I think I would like to try mixing some roses and gerbera daisies together. I am almost considering having the bridesmaids have white gerbera daisies with pops of colored gerbera daisies and small roses, but with some sort of natural greenery. I love the black and white ribbon wrapped around the colorful bouquets.

Black and White: I would probably be okay with mixing the swirls with the polka dots for reception decor. I think the black and white ribbon looks great with the bright colors, and keeps it less formal but still "us."

Bridesmaids: I want them in red, and I think this is the shade I'm after. It's a little "loud" but I think it will fit in with the wedding. I think that they could get away with choosing any black shoe that they want, but I would probably ask that it be open-toe.

Centerpieces: This will be tough for me, but I love the idea of having concept centerpieces that are not the same on every table. I like the random glass jars/bottles as vases for the gerbera daisies. I'm thinking white linen with the ribbon accents and colorful centerpieces. Vases could maybe even have the ribbon tied around it for a whimsical touch. I also like the idea of the cut fruit, but I would definitely have to see it first, and I would definitely mix in some red gerbera daisies.

Random Birds: I would so not mind having a few random black drawing birds (very simple like in collage) in random spots. I'm thinking like tags/signs.. not themey and all over the place.

Paper Lanterns: I just think this adds so much fun to a reception.

Ceremony Program: I really wouldn't mind the ceremony program being yellow, even though it's not in the scheme. I would say that everything doesn't have to be matchy-matchy, and I feel like yellow is the new neutral. I would not be opposed to looking at other options, though.

Cake: I love the cake at the bottom with the green swirly leaves and the gerbera daisies. I may make it to where there is only red gerbera daisies with pops of a smaller rose in a white or other color to give it a more formal look. I also like the ribbon wrapping each layer (where we could bring in the swirl or polka dot ribbon).

Random Color: With things like food, drinks, and candies-- we can use the opportunity to accentuate the fun colors. We can also make buffet signs that tie the food together.

Food: I am still leaning towards half Texan/half Casian food.

I like them, they're nice bold summery colors. Personally, I don't prefer the red and pink together. I would choose either one or the other, but not both. IMO.

I was also worried about mixing the two.. I might have to see some real life examples or something.. here is another link http://flickr.com/gp/ambermarie/mc44qJ

I like those colors together. I think it would look really bright and pretty. When is your wedding?

Wow, it's like the whole wedding on an inspiration board.  It kind of makes me dizzy.

To me, it's a lot going on but I like it.  But I do agree-pick red or pink.  Both are pretty with the other colors and I think the bright colors and daisies are perfect for an April wedding.  But both colors are too similar and one is bound to get "lost."   I think just using one of them will make the others stand out more.

This seems very similar to my color palette.  My bridesmaids are wearing a 'sage' green dress.  Colors are going to be yellow, orange and red.  The bright summery version of the colors.  The BMs are going to have a bouquetes of gerber daisies that are yellow, orange and red.  Mine will have somd daisies, and then roses, other flowers (get to see a prototype next week!).  The GMs will have roses as boutineers.

Centerpieces: 1/2 the tables will be a 5x5x5 squared vase w/ gerber daisies, and the other 1/2 will be low round vases with 2-3 floating daisies.

Still trying to determine all the details, but since the wedding is less than 2 months, you can see the pictures afterwards and borrow any ideas for yours!

<div>Stephie took the works right out of my mouth. I love the color scheme, it's just too much with all the colors. Personally, I'd do pink, but I just like pink <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>
