Getting in Shape

New to GIS, thinking about joining WW

Hey all, I post over on E and have heard great things about this board so I figured I'd give it a try. Not sure how much info you're supposed to give here, so excuse me if this is a no no.

I'm 5"10, 170 pds, my heaviest. I started gaining weight the summer after Sophomore year when I studied abroad in Italy. It's been a slow gain I guess, but it's time to finally change something. I still feel ok, but I'm just not happy with the way I look anymore and I know I'm not healthy. My knees hurt pretty often and I'm not sure if this is from the weight or something really wrong with them. I have started taking Glucosamine for them.

I have heard pretty good things about WW and it seems like something that's sustainable. I like that it has extra week points for when I just have to be 'bad'. I think the eating habit change is going to be easier than the exercising. I despise it more than anything. I believe I am going to start with the C25K and see how that works for me.

Is this a good place to ask for WW ideas or 'how many points would this be?' questions? I can't afford to join for a couple more weeks, so starting tomorrow when I go to the grocery, I plan on just following the food pyramid and see how that goes.
