Getting in Shape

Hi! Newbie here, 8 years post-gastric bypass, also on WW

Hey everyone! I'm new to the board and am excited about slimming down a bit for my October 22, 2011, wedding.

I've had a lifelong issue with weight, and it was helped tremendously when I had gastric bypass 8 years ago (at age 22). I lost a total of about 120 pounds, and reached my lowest weight of 176.

I'm now at 206 (not great, but I've been maintaining that steadily for 8 years) and have joined Weight Watchers to try to slim down for the wedding.

Thanks for all the tips you guys post on different threads; it's really helpful! :-)

Congrats on the weightloss so far! I'm on WW too, and have lost 35lbs so far - it's a great program if you stick with it. Try the buff brides workout on there. It's a twelve week program that I used before going dress shopping (and will probably use again when my wedding gets closer) and it really firms you up. Good luck!
