Worst Case Scenario--The Dress does not fit at ALL and 33 days until the wedding

I went for my final fitting on Sunday and was scocked to find that the dress was 4 inches from zipping.  I tried it on 5 weeks ago and it fit perfectly.  I have weighed myself everyday since the fitting to keep close track of my weight--not sure what went wrong.

It may because I have had all of my fitting in the am and this one was in the pm--the wedding is at 8pm.  I am very big right now so it is conceivable that that much water could accumulate during the day, but not sure.

I am going on a only vegatables and lean protein 2X per day for two weeks.  I will see if I can make any headway doing this.  I am sure some exercise would tighten me up a bit too.

Reading about the crash diets scare me, but desperate time--you know the rest.

Any advice would be appreciated!

  • Adding daily exercise would be a healthier option than a crash diet.  You don't want to pass out on your wedding day.
  • Ready? Here you go:
    Follow South Beach Phase 1
Find someone with P90x and do it every day until your wedding.
You won't crash, and will feel amazing!

    Good luck!

  • cut the crap...  CRAP
Caffeine, Refined Sugar, alcohol and processed foods

I've been doing this for about a week... I'm trying to view this stuff as poison.  and it's working.  I'm eating heaps of fruit and vegetables, making my own healthy soups, greek yogurt, soda water instead of coke, cashews, stuff like that.  I'm just not allowing myself any of that bad stuff for the month leading up to my wedding.  it's been hard, but I'm carrying a picture of myself in my wedding dress around with me, so I have to look at that every time I consider eating something bad.

I can also feel my skin improving.

i have been doing that for 5 days and lost 8 lbs--just very limited dairy (like a couple bites of yogurt at breakfast).  keeping the processed food out takes away a lot of salt.  i also learned today that caffeine increases estrogen production which increases weight.  i have been popping excederine like candy so that may be a big piece of the puzzle.

now concentrating on natural stress reduction and not taking excederine.  i do have one cup of coffee in the morning.  i could cut that if push comes to shove.

thanks for all the help everyone.  i was considering the master cleanse, but the nagging questions was "if you have a colonoscopy and your colon is clean and pink, how can these folks claim its full of tar like gumk".  fiber from vegatables and fruits seem to be effective for a cleanse.
  • Hey there-I tried my dress on for the first time today...it was tight once I zipped it up all the way, I am a little nervous about it though. (I do have 10 months but am nervous) the lady at the store said it could be taken out a bit...but its like should I have gone a size bigger??? It was not horrible, but I want to be able to breath the day of the wedding!! I am hoping that with 10 months I have time, she said it was my rib cage??? how does that area lose weight??
Has anyone had their dress taken out a little??? did it work? Please tell me it will be ok and I should not be freaking out 10 months before!! (but I am) I am goign to try it on every day...work on cutting back on the food I dont need, I work out every day, but i think counting calories helps too...
ahhh hopefully it willl turn out to be ok!
