Thighs?!?

So thanks to the much raved about fitness pal app I have been able to drop 10 lbs, but I still have nagging weight around my inner and outer thighs...
Anyone have any good workouts/tricks for getting rid of thigh "fat"?!?! Im big on squats and lunges but I feel like that is targeting my hammys and glutes more than the inner and outer thigh!

  • Do squats with your legs wider than hip width to isolate the inner thighs. The wider the better. I'm not quite sure about outer thighs. 

    Spin class is good for all around legs and so is walking on the treadmill at a high incline.
  • The fat will come off as you reduce your overall body fat, but depending on where you gain/lose fat, it might be the last thing to come off. 
  • I don't know about getting rid of fat, but i can tell you that I've been walking on a high incline on my treadmill and my thighs are much more shapely.
  • my inner thighs are driving me nuts too! 

    my FI says that my problem areas (stomach & thighs) will be the last thing to go... 

    what does that even mean?!?!?!!? lol.... like why is it the last thing?! 

    I really should do an incline on all of my machines but i seriously can't stand it. I feel like I don't work as hard when I do that...

  • I know you can't loose weight in any part or anything, but one of my favorites to work inner thigs I found on a video for abs.

    Lay on your back, legs up in the air at 90 degress. But a towel just above your knees... then squeeze the towel (like, pulsing it).

    Also, keep the pressure in on the towel and lower the legs (staying the bent 90 degree) to the floor and back up- that is great for thighs and the lower abs!

  • I have the same issue. My problem areas (read: last places fat goes away) are my thighs/hips and arms. I feel your frustration.
  • Good tips ladies! I guess Ill just have to keep pushing it, it is definitely my trouble zone so if it has to be last to go then I guess I just keep going!!

    Try Pilates, I know it's not a super calorie burner, but it's an awesome toner. My legs always feel sore afterwards, but a good sore-that sore that is "I didn't know I had those muscles!". If you have Netflix, try searching some Pilates videos. They are great!!
