Getting in Shape

After feeling un-toned, out of shape.. I signed up for dailyplate

I haven't been losing any weight, and it might have been that I was eating too few calories.  Mydailyplate just said I can eat up to 1,730 cal a day, after I just signed up.  I hope this works now.  Because when I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror, I just feel so chubby and out of shape.. no muscle, just flab.

I despise this.  When I wear clothes like jeans and such, people would think I am thin and in shape.  But under the clothes, I feel so flabby..

I haven't been running in over a month or so (and when I was running I felt great).. but since I have temporarily stopped, I feel so sluggish and gross.

I stopped because we have been painting our condo and getting ready to sell it and getting things together to bring to husbands mom's etc.  Getting rid of all the clutter, cleaning, dusting, windexing, vacuuming... you get the point.

I need to make the time to do something.  I feel like I need the cardio.  I was going to do some squats/lunges but I feel like it gets me absolutley no where.  I think cardio is good to start with.

My question though... Once you get out of your routine, what is the best way to jump back into it... would you say some type of cardio workouts.. explain this HIIT again... I just am getting a little overwhelmed and because of that, I haven't jumped back into anything yet.

  • I say sign up for a class somewhere. That way you have a guaranteed start date and your financially obligated. There are lots of really awesome fitness classes you can take and they can be really fun. Also telling people that you are starting helps give you accountability. These are just two ideas though and there are lots of other ways to get started. Good luck!

  • I just did it.  Got up and did something.  I did a 2 mile walk video that used ankle weights and arm weights.. and used all types of movements while doing the walking, kicks, ham string kick ups, lunges, knee kicks and raise arms etc.. feels good to be all sweaty and do a "beginners workout".. that work out is good to start out and get me going.. so I can do my other videos like jackie circuit training work out...

but this 2 mile walk thing was good.. it got my heart rate up and did all kind of movements for a total body workout.. it was good to use all those movements so my body is now prepped for more
