Bridal Portrait Location

Hey ladies,

I'm not getting married in DFW, but I was planning to take my bridal portaits here, at the Arboretum.  Since my wedding is in November, I was thinking mid-September for the session.  I'm starting to rethink that idea, because I am fair skinned and turn red really easily, and I would be sad if I was all sweaty and red in my portraits.  Any suggestions for other locations (possibly indoors) that are really pretty?

No.  Because I think the Arboretum makes the prettiest pictures. 

Arlington Hall, the Stoneleigh Hotel, the Crescent Hotel, Bass Hall, and the Old Red Courthouse are probably some of my favorite indoor ones that I've seen.  Alot of girls do the McKinney Cotton Mill--but that is not "pretty" really, more like modern and edgy.

Also The Meyerson is a gorgeous venue for indoor bridals, but they charge a pretty hefty fee.

I also agree with StephieHall that the Arboretum is gorgous along with Old Red (although it was too expensive for me to take my pictures there sine my wedding wasn't there - like around $200)

I also love the Stonleight but again they charge. 

That's the one downside to inside locations, they charge at least a couple hundred dollars if not more.  But if you can budget for it then I say go for it.

A friend of mine did her's at Texas & Pacific Station. They were very pretty and different!  There was a small fee but I don't think it was over $50

Listen- IMO, if you want the arboretum, I say go for it.  I did my bridals there at the end of May in 98 degrees.  I was a little wilty by the end, but I LOVED the way they turned out and wouldn't change it.  I didn't feel icky until the very end.   Here's a link for proof

I also love portraits in the canals- but that's outdoors.  Cotton Mill pics always turn out great, but more on the artistic side, as pp said.  GL!

I say go for the arboretum! I did mine there on May 6th and it was like 90+ degrees that day. I'm not going to lie - it was hot and I was sweating but the pics turn out great! I get red very easily also - get that from my mom - but I was fine. Here are my links if you want to check it out...

Thanks everyone!  I think I'm just going to go for the arboretum.  If we have to take a break to cool off, then so be it, but I think I'd like them best there

I think most photographers are going to try to find shady areas to take the pressure off your eyes and do only a few out in the very bright sun.

I wouldnt worry
