DJ on a Budget

We are looking for a DJ in the Dallas/Plano area that works with brides on a budget and still does a good job.  Anyone have any recommendations?  I've found one I can afford, but wondered if anyone else had any personal recommendations.  Thank you!

I would recommend Figment Productions.  It's a man and wife team, seem very nice and she acts as a coordinator too.  We meet with them tomorrow acutally.  They are doing ceremony and reception for 4.5 hrs for $600 for lighting, emcee and music of course!

I went way above budget on this because I waited too late to book someone. What is your budget? Book them asap!

My DJ was Pat Homer with Dallas Mobile DJ and was $500 for 4 hours.  He doesn't do custom lighting but does provide the standard dance floor lighting.  He lives in Allen but will go anywhere you like.

He is a little off the wall, but is very down to earth.   We really enjoyed talking to him at our meetings and he did a great job on our reception music.   (I only gave him special songs and broad genre's and he took care of it perfectly)   We even had a family member book him for her class reunion after seeing him at our wedding.
