So, my FI is completely supportive of me losing weight, and even volunteers to eat like me "as much as possible." Which I know is baloney. He is a big guy! He is 6'5'' and he has the mentality of big guys. (I'm big so I need a ton of food.) I'm fine with him picking his own foods and serving his own portion sizes. He is a grown man and can make his own decisions.
However, since we have moved in I don't think he has stopped eating. He gets home two hours after me and I will usually start dinner about a half hour after he gets home. In that half hour he will eat an entire bag of chips, a box of cheeze-its, and probably some cookies. Then I will serve dinner. He will have at least two servings if there are two to have. Then in an hour or so he will eat what he calls 2nd dinner. Then he will have desert. Then an hour of so after that he will start snacking again.
I know it probably shouldn't bother me, but it does. Because I am trying so hard to not eat with him and he keeps offering me food. My house is a war-zone of temptation. I've tried buying healthier snack options (fruit, veggies, whole grain crackers). He will skip those and either go buy his own or drive through somewhere.
I know I can't make him stop eating, but how do I make him stop eating in front of me? Or stop offering me food? I've asked him to stop and it lasts a day. Maybe I'm being a brat, but this level of temtation is getting to me.
