the Zaza is probably my favorite hotel in Dallas.

We stayed at the Gaylord on our wedding night a couple of weeks ago and while I'm sure it's probably a great hotel under other circumstances I wouldn't use it if I had to do it over again.  The room itself was very nice, but we needed to catch an early flight the next morning and found the massive hotel difficult to escape from that early.

It was also already paid for as a wedding gift, but the staff couldn't find our receipt. We didn't have time to discuss it since we didn't want to miss our flight and are still trying to sort it out.  I don't know if this is normal for a resort hotel, but I also noticed that we were charged $17 to self park overnight...this was in addition to the $15 we paid in the parking lot.

That being said, it looked like it would have been a fun hotel under different circumstances.  HTH

We stayed at the Gaylord on our wedding night and it was amazing! They upgraded us to the bridal suite for free when we arrived, and the next morning it was so nice to be able to walk around and eat breakfast on their "riverwalk".

Loved it, wouldn't have stayed anywhere else.

We stayed at the Omni Fort Worth on our wedding night and they were great. They let me check in at 10 am the day of the wedding so we would have a place to get our makeup done. When we got back to the room on the wedding night it had been cleaned and there was soft music plating and robes, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. It's a great wedding night hotel if you are getting married on the Tarrant Co. side of things.

As the girls said both are great!!! Make sure they know it's your honeymoon night. You get some perks with it.

Hmmmm, I am now wondering if loves*green*milk was the bride I saw riding the luggage cart in her wedding dress at the Gaylord.....?

The Gaylord is very nice but I can see both things happening: a wonderful experience or just a so-so experience.  We recently stayed in a suite for a weekend and it was a nice enough room but we were just eh.  And the only place we found for a nice sit down breakfast was the Riverwalk Cafe and it was buffet only and we were a little unimpressed.

Since I use to work at the Gaylord front office. I would say for a wedding night I would just something else. There technically is no bridal suite. You have to remember that is a convention style hotel and guest side is second fiddle to that. I say if you want like a real wedding night experience there are plenty others in DFW. But, that is only my opinion.

We have a flight out of DFW the morning after, so we are staying at the Grand Hyatt insideof DFW airport.
