Weight Traning Regimens?

So, I've been hitting the gym for awhile, doing about 30 min of running about 3x a week and I wasn't really seeing the results I wanted (I mean, I'm not gaining any weight, and my stamina is up and my energy is up, etc. but I'm not losing weight either), so I started cruising around online and reading about how good weight training is for women and why men tend to lose weight faster than women, and it seems to have a lot to do with the fact that weight training helps burn more fat, and keeps burning the fat even after the workout is over.

I've started doing some weight training at the gym, based on the very little I remember from my weight-training class in high school ten years ago, but I was wondering if any of you ladies have actual regimens that you follow and would recommend?
