Getting in Shape

Hello everyone. I am getting married June 15, 2012. And while on the outside I'm beaming with joy and excitement, on the inside I'm screaming because I have 150 lbs. to lose before then. I feel very overwhelmed and I would really like any helpful tips or advice that anyone has to offer.

  • Welcome!  I am getting married less than one week off from you (6/9/2012)!  I keep a journal of all of my calories and exercise.  You really have to focus on taking it one day at a time and making smart decisions each day. 

    Find exercise that you enjoy doing.  If you hate running, then try a kick boxing class, go hiking or do anything else you enjoy.  I watch all my guilty-pleasure TV shows while on an elliptical.  Some days I don't want to get off because I am really into the show.

    There are a lot of good websites out there to help track calories.  They will also tell you how many calories you should be eating each day.  I have used livestrong.com
