So in order to get fit I have to break down and buy a scale (something I haven't owned in 4+ years.... the last one was a Wii Fit about 2 years back that I used to scream at because the Wii Fit is really mean if you gain a pound... it calls you lazy!) What was really crazy was finding a scale that WORKED!
Now, I've gotten over my insecurity about weight and craziness, so the scale wasn't that scary. What was ... the craziness of finding one!
First we go to Target. We buy a normal scale with no fancy stuff. We get home. My fiancee gains 5 pounds in a few minutes, and then weights 83 pounds. It couldn't give a reading.
We return that. Then we got to Bed, Bath and Beyond. My fiancee stepped on at least 8 scales before I found the traditional ones. His weight on these scales, and I made sure he was standing the same, straight up, not moving, bounced 10 pounds. At least one brand stayed consistently at about 202. One told him he was 210! We got readings between there too. So annoying. Of course my theory - "whichever makes you lightest" which was a broken one that read 160 (no we didn't get that one though ;P)
But man! What a pain!
Anyone else have this?
i've decided to take measurements as that it is a more sure way of seeing progress.
Ugh wedding diets....I have 25 pounds to lose, my FI wants to lose 50! We've got a way to go-but a year to do it.
