Getting in Shape

I need motovation

I was motovated earlier, but now I cant get going. Help!! Any wise words of motovation? Please help!!! Thank you!

  • motivation alone is that you want to look in shape and fit.  If you want to look good, you will squeeze the work out time in.  You will make it work.  If food is your downfalk, then don't eat any junk.  Just having a weekend indulgence and work hard to stay on track.  Sticking with this board alone will help you keep on track by seeing what others are eating and what work outs others do and hear their results that they got for their efforts

  • Just know you aren't alone!  I am in the exact same boat (and I am rowing it over a sea of chocolate and ice cream at this point).  I keep looking at the big picture (the 20 lbs I want to drop in 3 months) and getting overwhelmed.  I've decided to look at it one day and one step at a time instead of pressuring myself so much.  When pressure gets to me I crack and then I crack open a box of cookies. 

    stay in touch and we can motivate each other and cheer each other on :)

  • I'm the exact same way! I was so motivated to get going working out and eating right but I've slowed down big time on the motivation scale! This week I told myself that I was going to kick it into gear and I did well until today...now I feel like I'll have to bust my butt to make up for my flops today! I think having support is a huge thing. Before when my weight loss has worked I was around people who were trying to lose weight as well but now a lot of the women I work with are pregnant or already married so they bring fatty foods to work all the time...it's so hard to be good when everyone around you is being bad haha! I think if you had some support system to help keep you motivated then that would be great...you just have to be committed to being there for each other if you are both doing it together.   • I lost motivation as well... I have been losing weight since Nov 2009. I already lost 18 pounds... Aiming to lose 20-25 more pounds.  I have been maintaining for a few months now and I'm ready to lose these last pounds.  I realized that it's important to surrounds yourself with positive people and those who support your weight loss. 

    Summer is almost over so I'm excited to get back into my hardcore workout plan.  I officially started my weight loss plan today and I'm excited to get back into it. I know that it can get overwhelming on how much I have to lose, but I'm taking it one day at a time. 

    Here are some tips:

    Tracking calories helps as well because you are calculating your caloric intake and you know if you are on the right track or not. 

    Stay motivated by reminding yourself on why you want to lose the weight in the first place...

    Maybe listen to music to keep you going.  

    If you on my treadmill, maybe put the TV on and workout while you watch your favorite TV shows.  

    Add variety to your meal and workouts so it doesn't get too repetitive. 

    The best motivation is feeling great after you work out and when you see results.
