So there was a post a few days back (that I can't find now) about the 100 pushup challenge, and people who had done it. I posted that I knew I couldn't do that but others said that it's set up so anyone can do it. So I figured, meh, I'll give it a shot.
On Monday morning I tested myself and did 11 pushups. I decided to stick with the 6-10 pushups range (off of my knees, couldn't do full pushups), so I wouldn't overdo it. That night I did 2 sets of 6 pushups, then 2 sets of 4 pushups, then as many pushups as I could do for a last set (which turned out to be 6). I felt really good about that.
Next day I was sore, but only in my triceps and my pecs, nowhere else. I thought my entire arms and shoulders and everything would be sore! But my biceps, deltoids, etc were fine. It was kinda painful but I stretched my arms, took some anti-inflammatory pills, ate a little extra protein and figured i'd be better Wednesday to do day 2 of the program.
Well, yesterday was Wednesday, and I couldn't push myself off the ground. Not once. lol My arms are STILL sore today, not as badly as yesterday but sheesh! I only did one day of the program and I already can't continue. FAILURE, lol. :P
