Getting in Shape

Are you brave enough to post your tummy?

I'm on a whattoexpect forum. It's for mommys. A lot of them are trying to get back in shape after having a baby. Including my self. Lucky some girls looked like they never were pregnant grrrr lol. We posted pics of our tummy. To help us feel better about ourselfs, and to show improvement we are making. I thought it might be fun to do here. Plus I have a question.I'm having a lot of trouble losing my lower tummy. I'm actually pretty ok with my upper abs, just not how my lower ones look. My finace said it could be STRETCHED SKIN from having a baby. That word scares me. Tell me what you girls think. If so can I tighten it up in anyway. Don't be afraid girsl. It's actually good to take pics to see your progress. Even if you're not comfortable showing it. I know som girls are having self esteem issues, like some of the girls on my what to expect, but they feel comfortable posting it there, they actually get a lot of support. I'm hoping we can have something like that here. It's always nice to feel comfortable in your skin. :)

I'm running 10 minutes a day (at 4 and 5 mph) 4-5 days a week and doing incline situps 4 days a week(so far just 20 a day, holding a 5lb weight), along with a strength training/yoga regime on Wii Fit 30 minute 2-3 nights a week. I've lost 2 inches of my waist (that lovely baby bulge) and the pictures only kinda show it, but you probably can't tell-
    I've gone from this

to this was 1 week ago and 2 weeks after I started my working out-

LOL looking closer its definitly hard to tell, but instead of pinching like, 3-4 inches under my belly button, its a little more than 2 inches. Cool My goal is rock hard abs by 6 more weeks!
ETA todays, the first day of week 4 :)

  • wow!you are looking great! i def see an improvment!!
  • Thanks! It hasn't been too hard, just hard to go to the gym sometimes! I'm lucky enough to have one at our apartment complex though, so I just go for 30 minutes and my FI watches the girls! :D

If I didn't, I probably seriously couldn't work out. Its hard when you have kids to get any time to yourself, and when you do the last thing you want to do is exercise ya know? Whats your gameplan?
  • i have to work out when alyssa naps. it would help out alot to have one .i'm glad i at least have a good work out channel .
  • Belle2Be- I'm amazed at the difference! You just motivated me to get back to the gym. I will definitely be taking pics to see if I can tell a difference... but sorry, no pics on the internet haha

Thanks and YAY! It's been rewarding! It's only been 3 weeks! I haven't changed my eating habits too much, but I have been drinking much more water and trying to snack healthier.
