New shoes? Ankle pain following sprints

Hello ladies!

I'm new to this board, but I'm not new to fitness. I've been a regular at my gym for the last 2 years, and I mostly do group fitness classes. I do everything from yoga to weight lifting, and my gym has all of the Les Mills classes. I'm actually going to train this summer to be a BodyPump, BodyFlow, and RPM instructor :)

Anyhoo... I've been working on my running lately and I've been having ankle pain for a couple of days following treadmill sprints. The pain is on both ankles on the outer side. I've been doing my sprints at 8.2-9.0 on the treadmill, my regular runs are around 6.0-7.0.

The shoes I've been running with are Nikes and they're a little loose (probably a half-size too big). Any chance that that is what's causing this? I'm also experiencing a little pain in the groin area (upper inner thigh on both legs)

Thanks for any insight.
Brea
