Getting in Shape

Anyone have suggestions for getting rid of that extra fat that sticks out on the side of your bra?

I am slimming down everywhere right now, but can't seem to get rid of that little fat that sticks out. My dress is strapless and I'm worried that its gonna look weird if I have that little arm junk sticking out. My trainer gave me some suggestions, but they aren't working and are just making my shoulders bigger.


Any ideas?

  • you really can't target that or any spot individually.  I say keep up with cardio and it should come off eventually.  Good luck!

    Have you tried water aerobics?  How about side to side stretching with weights in each hand? 

    Ask your personal trainer. He/She would be able to get you the proper weights to counteract this issue.

    Realize that everything takes time. Even for this area.

  • Yep, started swimming laps now. I remember getting rid of that area when I was a lifeguard a zillion years ago.
  • Actually, you might need a new bra.  If you're talking about the "fat pocket" I'm thinking of it might have to do with wearing the wrong bra style or size.

  • Good idea. I might look into that.
  • I found something by accident that seems to be working good. I have discovered places in my shoulders and arms that I didn't know I had and I have been working out since Jan.

    Cheerleading. I know that it sounds crazy, (I'm so not the cheerleader type) but I volunteered to coach my daughters squad. I think maybe it is the different motions that you don't use in weightlifting that is doing it but I can really see a difference in my upper arms. Find some utube videos and try it out.
