Calorie Counter Site?

Does anybody know a good website to go to that can help you figure out calories? Ideally I'd like to be able to find anything from general foods calories to specific restaurant meal calories.

Thanks!!

Re: Calorie Counter Site?

  • thedailyplate.com is a good one that you can find the calories and track them too.  They have a section for fast food and restaurant nutrition.  But you can also get the calories when you enter foods.

  • I LOVE this site. Just create a free account and keep track of everything you eat and all kinds of activities. Hope you like it =]

  • JR is right, go to livestrong.  I use it all the time, it;s free you can track all your food and workouts.  You also tell it your height, weight and weight gola and it tells you how many calories you should have to make that goal.

  • I use www.fitday.com to track my food, activity and weight all in one spot with a nice graph that shows how far I am from my goal "Bride" weight :)
  • I love the program through livestrong too! I started counting calories about a month ago and it is sooo much easier with this site! It even has some of the local chain restaurants in my town which rocks!

I have used SparkPeople and PeerTrainer before. Both are good sites. I stopped using them because I downloaded an app on my phone - but before that they were great. I also use CalorieKing to just look up values.
  • I also use www.fitday.com and I can add in my own foods (I've found some of the values are off on calorieking/dailyplate) or they don't have my foods on there yet....So I end up entering them no matter what site I'm using.

I've also used sparkpeople and liked that fairly well, although I like being able to have Fitday on my computer and online...I purchased the FitDayPC version as well, so that's why I have it on there :)
  • Sparkpeople.com is great.  It not only gives you calorie counts but it also gives you a calorie range to stay within in order to reach your weight loss goals.  It also has a community of teams and support and you can set up your own page and make buddies. Its like a facebook for people who want to live healthier lives and its free.
  • Shape magazine just combined with bride magazine. They have a new website.. http://www.shape.com/shapebride.com They also have a Virtual Trainer on there, it works great! By far my favorite site to track calories and workouts!
