Maybe a little early to talk ceremony music?

but.....Does anyone know what music you're going to play during the ceremony?  Prelude, BP entrance, bridal entrance, postlude??

It is never too early!! haha. The only song i know i am going to walk in with my parents when they walk me down the aisle is ave maria or cannon in D. I know the ave maria is played during funerals but it is such a beautiful song and they are just singing the hail mary so i figured eh what the heck. lol.

I have no idea! Ugh! I love Cannon in D, so that's a possibility. But there are also so so many other songs (with words) that I love, but I don't want to walk down the aisle to songs with words. So I still have to figure this out haha.

I'm not sure about any of the others, but for the bridal entrance we are playing Truth by Balmorhea. It's a looong song (7+ minutes), so I will have to cut it down to a small section.

We want our wedding to be a little bit unique, and reflective of us.  So, we would like to have our favorite indie music instead of the traditional stuff.  I'm walking down the aisle to "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire, but haven't decided on anything else.  I'd also love to have "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes, but can't decide where to put it.  Maybe the candle lighting ceremony?

I think I am going to have everyone walk down the aisle to this Louie Armstrong remix type of song that combines what a wonderful world and somewhere over the rainbow.

I really love vitamin string quartet and I wanted to hire someone like them but I researched it, and not many people (at least in my area) do that kind of thing so we're going to have our dj play songs by them during the ceremony. I'm not sure which songs for what yet but I know we'll be using Don't Stop Believing because that's where I got the whole idea from in the first place. The wedding singer. Sad but true.

I also like by vitamin string quartet: 'stolen' (dashboard confessional), 'chasing cars' (snow patrol), 'don't wanna miss a thing' (aerosmith), 'god only knows' (beach boys), 'iris' (goo goo dolls), 'love story' (Taylor Swift), 'I'm yours' (Jason Mraz). It's an interesting collection, lol.

Meagan, what exactly is Vitamin String Quartet? I've seen them mentioned on TK a lot. Do they just play songs that are popular, but obviously without words? That'd be kind of a good idea for me since I don't want words in any ceremony music.

Yeah they play popular music but instrumentally. I LOVE them. If you look them up on iTunes they have over 200 songs so I'm sure there will be something you like by them

EDIT: almost 4000 songs! I don't know where I got 200 from...

I will definitely have to check them out. All I've done so far is search for instrumental songs that I like on YouTube. Haven't found anything nice on there, no surprise haha.

For the ceremony the only song I know is what I'm walking down the aisle to, which is Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I am not gonna spell the guys name out cause it's crazy long and I forget the spelling, but it's the Hawaiian version (If you search the song title with "Hawaiian version" on youtube, it comes up). It's my mom's favourite song and since I want to honour both my parents as I walk down the aisle I thought that was a nice way to do it. I asked my mom if she wanted to walk down with my dad and I but she doesn't want to because she wants my dad to have his moment (she's cute like that).

I am still really up in the air about a lot of the music but I know that I will walk down the aisle to "My, My, My" by Rob Thomas and we will exit to "Rhythm of Love," Plain White T's
