but what do all these abbrivations stand for?! :(

FI, AW, FIL are a few I've seen. Sorry I"m still a newbie to the boards :)

    One day we will get a sticky for the abbeviations...until then here they are:

    WR         Wedding related
    NWR       Not Wedding related
    PIP          Picture in post
    HTH        Hope that helps
    FI            Fiance
    FMIL/FSIL Future mother in law/Future sister in law, etc..
    AW         Attention whore
    PSA        Public service announcement
    FFF        Flame Free Friday
    SA         Say Anything

    I am sure there are others I am missing but this will be a good start.
