Getting in Shape

Very specific nutrition question

Hello, my dears.

So...I've been cutting out refined sugars and "white" foods, trying to eat mostly whole food with the exception of something like Ezekiel bread.  I try not to eat anything with more than 5g of sugar per serving, except for fruit.  For breakfast, I've been having this bread toasted with raw almond butter, and a normal (recommended, 5 halves) serving of non-sulphured dried apricots.  I've been craving bananas madly for a couple days, and want to switch up my fruit for breakfast.  This morning I had half a banana on my toast instead, but I'm worried about the nutritional info on a banana.  It seems to be the most sugar-dense (does this make sense?) of the fruits.  So...my question is, is this that much worse than eating the apricots?  Am I going the wrong way about everything anyway with eating the (no sugar added) dried fruit in the morning anyway?

Do bananas deserve the demonization that they've received in the fruit world?

Should I try to forgo both fruits for a better alternative, and if so, what do you suggest?  I have limited time in the morning, and want to stick with the toast/almond butter breakfast.

If this seems like a ridiculous question, then my apologies.  I don't know what other source (that's online at least, and won't cost the $$$ of a nutritionist) to go to, and I know that many of you are involved in professional fitness/nutrition communities.  Is there another forum/website you'd recommend?

Thank you! <3
