Ass kicking cardio interval workout when you're short on time.

I. am. still. sore.  FI, FSIL, did this workout on Saturday and we're still in pain.  It doesn't sound hard but we set the treadmill starting at 10 mph, did a 15 second sprint and stepped to the sides and rested for 15 seconds.  We did this for 10 minutes.  We increased the mph by .1 after every interval.  I just had to share with all of you.

That seems killer. I don't know if I have short legs or what, but I've never gone above 7 mph. Embarassed 3.0 is a brisk walk for me, 3.5 is a really fast walk.

  • When I do a regular run, it's 6.2 for me.  I stay below 7 too!  This is an awesome workout ...when it's over!! haha!

  • oh god i don't think my short lil legs could handle a 10mph sprint! i think the fastest i could probably do without my legs unhinging from my hips would be an 8, because i usually do a 6.1 or 6.2 for a regular run. props to you!

  • Start at whatever is really really fast for you.  My FSIL is 5"2' and she was going faster than me.   Run like you're being chased by a freggin hungry tiger!  Only for 15 seconds and it goes by quick.  I'm telling ya, 10 minutes and it was the best workout I've done in weeks.

  • Wow I love this! I'm the same way, 3.5 is a brisk walk for me, I'm 5'4. But I really want to try! Thanks for the tip! I'll let you know how it goes as long as i don't flip off the end of the tredmill Laughing
