Getting in Shape

Hello Board!

Hey everyone!
I've been lurking for awhile and though I'd introduce myself since I have a very common goal with many of you (getting into shape and being more healthy).
My name is Michelle and FI's name is Joe. We are getting married this October, (10/23) in CT. Goal-wise, I'd like to get into a better routine, food and excerise but can never seem to stick to one. We bought p90x and will be starting it this week, but might need to be accountable to someone else besides me.
So, that being said, I really look forward to sharing the ups and downs of this journey with all of you :)

  • I'm also gonna take this as a chance to introduce myself.  I'm new to this board but not the knot.  I'm getting married 10-10-10 and looking mostly to tone at this point.  My 'ideal weight' is about 4-7lbs below what i weigh now.  I like having people keeping me accountable...though this week i haven't been very good :-p

    My 'biggest' issues is processed food...they are just so darn convient...i'm working on that.  Fi hates that i eat them.  Hopefully my garden of fresh veggies help!
  •  Sarah, thats too funny!! we are in cheshire (just bought and moved into our condo). Glad to hear that it kept you on track, thats exactly what im looking for :)

    Dazed, we bought a share in a local CSA, hoping that the veggies will help curb the need for other sanck food... hope it works!!
  • My FI and I have a great garden in our yard. It makes a huge difference! We have salad every night with fresh lettuce (romaine, bib, arugula, mesculin, and endive), fresh tomatoes, snow peas, and cucumbers! We make sure we eat salad first so we dont eat as much chicken or whatever we are making. Good Luck Sunflower and welcome!
