I am a new "runner".. I use the word lightly, since I'm the furthest thing from a runner, but I've grown a love for it recently.. However, lately after or during my run my left knee cap starts giving me some irritation.. I wouldn't say it was a horrible pain, but it's definitely not pleasant. (Almost feels as if my knee wants to throw in the towel. LOL) I normally walk/run.. Anyone have any advice on this? I've been doing the RICE method lately (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate) but.. is there anything I should do to prevent this? I also run at a .5 incline. I also do a 5 minute stretch beforehand..
Any tips would be appreciated, if it doesn't go away soon I'll be sure to check in with my doctor!
