Getting in Shape

*LittleKatie*

My H just agreed to join me in P90X. We're starting the last week of August because the last time he truly exercised was probably 3 years ago. So we're starting in 6 weeks & will be done the week of Thanksgiving. I don't know if you want to wait that long, but I thought maybe we could do that together if you're up for it???

Re: *LittleKatie*

  • I actually got my butt in gear and am starting a week from today.  I'm giving myself this week to get into a normal workout and eating pattern and then giving it all I've got starting Monday.  Sorry!  I have a couple of weddings at the end of August that I'd like to be as lean as possible for.

I'll be excited to have someone to commiserate with-I think it's going to kick my butt (in a good way!)

  • Totally fine. I thought you might be starting sooner. I tried to convince my H to start this week, but he wasn't having any of it. :)

    Which program are you doing?
  • I'm debating between lean and classic.  Probably classic.  I think I might do doubles if I like whichever I do this time.  I'll have plenty of time to do doubles when DH is gone on business this fall/winter.

  • Yeah. Classic is good. If I decide to do a second round of P90X I think I'll do the lean program with a hybrid of something else on top. Not sure what though...

Good luck! Tony is hilarious. :)
  • Are you going to use the nutrition guide at all in conjunction with WW?  or just stick to WW?

  • What I do is a little interesting. Currently I'm cooking from the Biggest Loser book "6 weeks to a healthier you" & I look at the meal plan & figure out how many points it is. If it goes over my daily points, I take some stuff off or eat smaller portions. If it's under my points (which it usually is), I add in healthy snacks like ff yogurt or carrots and hummus, or I just eat more of what they say to eat. So I'm planning on doing the same with P90X nutritional guide.
