Dallas Arboretum portraits

Does it have a fee to take pictures here?
  How much?
Is there a place to change, or was it better to get ready at home?
I'm guessing it's a great place to take photos, any recommendations welcomed!

I just did my bridals on Friday and we were going to do them at the Arboretum and White Rock but my husband (I did my after my wedding) called me at told me that is was super packed for their spring bloom.

Anyways my photographer said they charge admission and you have to come in your dress because there is no where to change.

I think its a great place for pictures and I hope this helps

They do charge admission, but some photographers keep a couple season passes since it's such a popular spot... mine does.  And I was also told they really didn't have any place to get ready on property.

They do have a place on property to get read (in fact, you're not technically allowed to change in their public restrooms), but it's $100 for a 2 hour rental.  Otherwise you have to come dressed.

I had to do a dress change for my portraits so the $100 wasn't too bad.  The $100 includes admission for you, your photographer, and your assistants (if a mom or BM is taggling along) and parking for 1 vehicle.

Wow, that is a lot for just a pretty background. Are there other places that are more budget friendly? Just curious.
