I thought I'd share this because it sort of shocked me.
I though for SURE I was getting enough protein and I was so off it was kind of ridiculous. For my body type, I was supposed to be getting around 50 grams of protein a day for healthy muscle function. I was getting about 15 grams and trust me, I eat!
Anyway, I just wanted to pass this along to you all because I was naive about it. I have now started myself on a daily protein shake to supplement my diet and I am already feeling the difference.
Protein really helps with weight loss and building lean muscle and although I knew this, I didn't know how far off I was from my daily need. For those hitting a plateau, maybe you need a protein boost!
