Mother of the Bride Dresses...where to go?

We are about to begin the search.  Where did you go with your mom to look for her dress?  A few people have suggested Terry Costa.  Others have said we might have some luck at Dillards or Macy's.  I'd appreciate any suggestions!  Thanks!

I know StarDust Celebrations carries MOB dresses. I would assume they are reasonably priced, but I do not know for sure. I know we are starting there cos I got my dress at Lulus so she gets a discount there.

Ooo I got my dress at Lulu's too.  I think it's a 15% discount?  At least I know that's what it was for the BM dresses.

My mom and I went to Nordstroms.  Not a normal store we shop at, but their sales people are SO helpful.  It really made it easy to find a dress for her there.

Both our mothers and grandmothers got theirs at Terry Costa.

Dillards here..for both Mother's.  They had a great selection.

Ditto for Dillard's.  The one at North Park or at North East Mall.

My mom and I went to Stardust (where my BM dresses are from) they were SO expensive! They range from $400 to $3000, for MOB dresses! We did see some pretty ones at Nordstroms that were in the $150 range. Whatchamacallits had some pretty ones too, but were $300. We are still on the hunt, but will check out Dillards. Is there a Special Occassions anywhere? I used to get my prom dresses from there.

Wow that is crazy!! You wouldn't think some of those dresses are that much. I looked on their website links, and some of them really are not that pretty. So that really surprises me

How old is your mom? I've been thinking about that idea, because my mom is young, and a lot of actualy MOB dresses look way too old for her. It's good to know someone has done that

My mom did NOT want one of those typical MOB dresses with the beaded jacket.  I loved the dress she got at Terry Costa and the price was great too.

When we were looking, we couldn't find anything at the department stores but I was in Macy's last weekend and saw some beautiful ones.

My mom got her's at Dillards & MIL got her's at Terry Costa..both were gorgeous.  The Terry Costa dress was on clearance..not sure if they normally run sales or not, but she got a bargain.

StarDust Celebrations have some of thier MOB dresses on clearence right now. All different styles....go by and look. Ask for Myra she is great!
