Getting in Shape

Appetite Question?

Let me start off with It is that time of the month...So far today I have had a cup of decaf coffee, 1/2 pack of instant oatmeal with blueberries and a handful of granola, a pear, 1 cup of low fat yogurt and a sandwich (2 slices of wheat bread, one slice of cheese and a slice of turkey breast). I am not necessarily hungry but it feels like my body is craving more food but its weird because by stomach feels like it's busting out of my pants. I haven't felt like this before. I eat this way pretty much everyday and I haven't felt like this and after I ate lunch today I got really really sleepy. Have anyone of you ever experienced anything remotely similar to this? I don't want to eat anything because my stomach feels full but at the same time it's like my body is sending me signals to eat eat eat. WTH?

  • Ugh, yes. I have felt that way before- usually during that time of the month. Chewing gum helps me.
  • I had this same issue last month at my "time"! TERRIBLE!!!
    I just kept drinking water... it didn't completely cure me- but it did help. I find that I totally crave carbs when I'm on my period! It's torture! 

    Being a woman is exhausting. The way I feel when it's the time of the month for me is so inconsistent! Sometimes I feel totally fine, and other months I'll be so exhausted and bloated. I feel your pain lady, at least you know it will be over a few days!

  • ditto grrrace - drink a ton of water, even more than you usually do. it'll help with bloating, and it'll keep you from feeling snacky. it works for me, anyway...

  • Thank you ladies for helping me realize I am not going crazy...I kept drinking water  it did help BUT just a little...but I got through it -I didn't binge...Thank God!

    @grrrace-You are so right some months I am fine and others like this one are crazy
